Once you have completed this course you will have all of the skills needed to perform professional Manicure & Pedicure services including, plus we can provide all of the products and equipment you need to get going.

Introduction and overview to the course. Learn about the anatomy of the nail so you understand why we do each step of the treatment and how careful we need to be in the process. Study the diseases and disorders of the nails and skin so you know when it is NOT OK to provide your services.

Sanitation and Hygiene are paramount to keep any beauty business running successfully. We will teach you how to keep you salon clean and sanitary, how to clean and disinfect your tools and equipment and also how important it is for you as the technician to be clean and projecting a professional image. We will also cover the very important Occupational Health and Safety regulations for the industry.

In this module you will learn how to keep accurate records. How to do a full consultation on your client to establish if there are any medical conditions or contra indications that will prevent you from doing the service. We will also go through all of the products and equipment you will need to perform the services on your clients.

The key to a great manicure or pedicure is nail shaping and polish application. These are the start and end of the manicure, and everything you do in between will be ruined if you do not master these two skills. We show you how to shape the nails and apply the polish to perfection sending your clients out the door with nails that will be the envy of their friends. We also explain the benefits of massage and why it is so important to incorporate it in your services, not just because of the physical benefits it provides but a good massage on the arms/hands or legs/feet will keep your clients coming back for more.

This is where you will start the practical section of the course. We will go through every step of the manicure in detail, and then put it all together with a full manicure that you can follow while working on your models.

Following on from the manicures, we will also do every step of the pedicure in detail, before putting the whole service together with a video you can use to follow while working on your clients.

This videos will cover extras that you can apply to your services. We all break a nail from time to time and we will show you how to fix it quickly and easily. Scrubs, peels and masks will all value add to your services and paraffin treatments will take your services to the next level.
