Once you have completed this course you will have all of the skills needed to perform relaxation massage, plus we can provide all of the products and equipment you need to get going.

Introduction and course overview. Learn about anatomy and physiology of the body to understand why we do certain massage techniques.

No matter how good your massage skills are, if you are not keeping your working environment clean and sanitized your clients will not come back. This module will teach you how to clean and sanitize, launder your towels/sheets and keep your work area free from bacteria which can cause disease. We will also cover the important Occupational Health and Safety regulations which will help you keep your work area safe from accidents.

Learn what medical or skin conditions will prevent you from offering your massage services and how to keep accurate records of every massage you perform.

We will teach you the basic strokes and why each one is used throughout the massage and the very important technique of draping your client not only to keep them warm, but also to preserve their dignity so they feel comfortable and secure throughout the whole service.

The module will show you how to set up a professional but inviting work area for your clients, cleanliness, temperature, soft music and everything else you need to make is a complete experience for your clients. We will also cover the different oils you can use and what they are good for.

This is the start of the practical section of the course. We will start learning the massage techniques on the back and shoulders as this is the most common place to start as it will get your client comfortable with your touch.

We will then move on to leg and foot massage with the client in both prone (face down) and supine (face up) position.

Stomach and breast massage have many benefits, but not everyone will want these areas massaged. If you do have clients requesting this we will show you the safest way to not only massage these areas, but to drape and undrape correctly so that only what you are working on is uncovered, making the client at ease with the process. We will then cover both hand and arm massage techniques.

To finish the massage we will work with the client face up, starting at the declotage, neck, face, ears and head to complete the experience.

This module will give you multiple massage routines you can follow, but everyone is different and some people will only want certain parts of the body treated.
The sky is the limit you can put together any type or length of massage you like to personalize it for your clients.
